Post the Second: The Jarring Job

It has recently been brought to my attention that I have been neglecting my duties at the library. This has more to do with the fact that I was not aware I had a job at all than a desire to get myself fired.

The library in this town can only be described as dismal. A word here which means, seemingly lacking in any material that would be useful to anyone. However if you need any help in attempting to find some relevant information, I would be glad to aid you with your searches.

Though I can not promise we will find anything.

There are still plenty of books, however from what I have been able to peice together, the subject mater of the books is severly limited.

So it's controlled information? Well that should have been expected.

Yes, I suppose. The way they're controlling the informationn seems rather interesting as well.

From what I have seen certain people are able to find certain books. Books that relate to their age, gender and/or profession.

[identity profile] dreams-are-mine.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
But you wouldn't be able to find books that aren't related to you that way?

[identity profile] mysilenceknot.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
No I don't believe you would be able to. It's rather irritating.

But someone who did find the books might share them~?

[identity profile] mysilenceknot.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose that would be possible. I shall have to try that.

[A pause]

I wonder...

Well, I am rather curious to see if they would be able to control that somehow. If someone were to take a book out and then a person of another gender, age...were to read it.

Would it stay the same?

[identity profile] dreams-are-mine.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, and even if it did change when you handed it over, could you read it aloud to someone? Not very efficient, but...

[identity profile] mysilenceknot.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, even if they managed to change the books, could they change the words?

Another interesting question.

[identity profile] dreams-are-mine.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Well they can change what's in our heads.
