Post the Eighth: The Frightful Find

[Over the years Lemony has stayed mainly the same. He however is more open to friends and has gotten closer to the few he's made here. For the most part though, he's the same mournful and quiet man he always was. However today he sounds panicked as he grabs for the phone]


Hello...hello? There's....something....something terribly dreadful seems to have happend.

There's....a body..

[A gulp]

Oh dear lord, A body is hanging from my porch....light. A body...

[There's a pause as he draws a shaky breath]

I...I just thought I should  let people know...

[Yes he is emotionally rattled and yes he may be crying and yes he really hates this place]

[EDIT: The body in question belongs to Alphonse Elric. Lemony has never meet the young man so he has no idea if it's a drone or not...what with him being dead.]

[She hangs up the phone, and shortly you'll see her at your porch, examining the body.]

[He walks out there, trying not to look at the body.]

[She's taking deep breaths, forcing herself to look. She's seen bodies before, though not in a long time.]

We need to take it down.

[Daine steps closer to the body, looking back at Lemony.]

I know it's not yours at all. Who would do that to you?

Where I come from there are an alarmingly large amount of people who would be happier if I were dead.

[She says this with resolve, obviously wanting to believe it.]

[She smiles, looking confident.]

Right...yes. I suppose we'd better do that.

[He doesn't look to thrilled at the prospect]

I suppose I'd better go get a knife.

[She's not particularly thrilled, but it has to be done.]

No. No, that's fine. I'll be just a moment.

[He ducks into the house and maybe he's being a coward but he couldn't stand to be alone with that thing. A moment later he returns with a knife.]

[Daine takes the knife.]

We'll get him down now, I suppose.

[She looks around for a chair to stand on, as she can't reach him at her height.]

[He glances, over takes a breath and hols his hand out for the knife.]

[He doesn't like the idea of it, but manages to reach up and cut the rope holding the body. He winces as it falls to the ground, blood leaking on the porch.]

There, now...I suppose...

[He shakes his head.]
